ZERO WASTE SEWING PATTERNS

In this book Zero Waste Pattern guru Birgitta provides 5 simple  blocks which are adapted to create 20 garments (from shorts, skirts, shirts and dresses). There are no paper patterns, instead everything is drawn directly onto your fabric through the use of measurements and small traceable templates. The entire length of fabric is used meaning no scrap of fabric goes to waste.

Who is this book for?

Anyone! One of the (many) appeals of Zero Waste Sewing is its accessibility. The nature of this drafting technique leads to garments with relatively simple shapes and construction methods.

That said, the unique tetris like approach to pattern cutting and the endless customisation possibilities are enough to  keep even more advanced sewists transfixed.
