The Hidden Detail
Almost all elastic is made from synthetic materials — like polyester and/or elastane. This means even the most beautiful natural fabric garment can be hiding a significant chunk of plastic in it's waistband.
And this synthetic elastic is:
- made from a non-renewable resource (fossil fuels)
- non-biodegradable
- often stretches out or loses integrity long before the garment is past it's prime
- can feel stiff or uncomfortable, affecting garment feel and performance
A Simple Switch
