I am a simple 2 hole shirt button made from 100% corozo plant. My warm, light beige colour is the perfect neutral for a variety of garments.
Did you know corozo is made of very dense organic fibres which results in excellent durability and scratch resistance? Plus I’m dyed with eco-friendly dyes and have a unique colour fixation system which makes me resistant to vapour and washing.
So I’m tough… but not too tough. I’m also biodegradable. Overall I’m a more sustainable alternative to traditional plastic buttons plus I look and feel damn good! Attach me to you handmade shirts, blouses, dresses or knitting projects and #makeitbetter.

Why I'm Better
Corozo is a plant-based material derived from the nuts of the Tagua Palm of equatorial Central America. They can only be harvested once the nuts rippen and fall naturally to the ground, otherwise they are not suitable for use, meaning the rainforest is not harmed in the process. Corozo fibre is porous so it takes extremely well to low impact dyes. Naturally tough and biodegradeable, it is aptly referred to as 'vegetable ivory'.
