The Away Tote is our answer to the perfect weekend bag. Taking inspiration from our best selling Day Tote pattern, the Away Tote has been designed to hold a bigger capacity, with additional functions for carrying a heavier load.

Shaped to fit the size specifications of cabin luggage, the bag features a roomy interior that narrows towards the top, 2 handle lengths, spacious internal pockets and the option of a zip up lid for security.

Dimensions: 55cm x 28cm x 40cm

Recommended Fabric:  Fabric options are endless and can be selected based on season, style, colour or texture. However, consider main and lining fabrics that are sturdy to ensure durability and to give the bag good shape. Choose main fabrics around 450-600gsm and lining fabrics around 350-500gsm. And a mid/light weight cotton or linen is recommended for the piping to help reduce the bulky seam allowances.

Main Fabric:

  • 150cm wide = 100cm

Lining Fabric:

• • 110cm wide = 130cm
  • 150cm wide = 85cm

Piping Fabric:

• • 85 x 35cm
    

Notions: Thread, 466cm piping string approx 7mm thick, 1.8m webbing approx 3-4cm wide, 1.2m mid-heavy fusing, optional open-ended zip, zipper foot
