I am a gorgeous set of 30 glass head sewing pins enclosed in a compact wooden box. My pins are manufactured in Hiroshima, a city with a 300-year history of high-quality needle production. I am supple yet durable and I easily pierce cloth of various weights.

My pinheads are a colour-coordinated mix of translucent and opaque glass. Carry me around in my very handy and highly durable cherry wood box and take a minute to admire my band with a lustrous flower-shaped button cut from the black-lipped pearl oyster that holds me all together.

Fun Fact: Daiwa Sangyo established itself in 1970 as a producer of wooden medicine cabinets for the local industry. As they evolved through the years they continue to use traditional techniques to pursue new ways of making wooden products.

Sewing pin size: 35mm×0.5mm (2mm glass pinhead)

Materials: pins - glass, nickel plating, steel | Mountain cherry wood box | band - black pearl shell, elastic, brass

Producing Regions:

    • Pins from Nara, Hiroshima
    • Box by Daiwa Sangyo in Nara
    • Shell button by Tomoi in Kawanishi Town, Nara
