Add an element of modern tradition to your tool kit with my beautifully crafted pincushion and three glass head sewing pins. My fragrant masu box is made of Japanese cypress and encases a pincushion made of Kokura textile. My special fabric is characterised by three-dimensional stripes with a rhythmic colour pattern created by a unique weaving pattern making me super strong yet soft and smooth.

My glass pinheads are inspired by the beauty of traditional Aichi Shippo ware, a type of cloisonne ware, or lacquered metalwork. Uniquely crafted "Shippo flakes" are incorporated into the glass head of the sewing pins, bringing an elevated touch to your craft.

Fun Fact: Masu boxes are traditional Japanese measuring boxes originally used to measure rice and later became a popular vessel for holding sake glasses. Kokura textile was once highly valued for hakama trousers and obi sashes among samurai of the early Edo period and it was said that it was impervious to spears.
