STRIPE HEMP BLEND | Blue/Ivory
STRIPE HEMP BLEND | Blue/Ivory
*2.8 METRES LEFT
I am a cool combination of organic cotton and hemp making me super soft yet very durable. I have a slightly rustic slubby texture, much like linen, with a moderate drape yet also the ability to shape. My classic vertical stripe pattern oozes beach vibes, whisking you away to a yacht in the Mediterranean.
I am the perfect weight for warm weather blouses, shirts, dresses, shorts and pants, or how about a sunny matching set. I'm so beachy.

Why I'm Better
Why I'm Better
Industrial Hemp is derived from the bast fibres of the cannabis sativa plant and, although visually and taxonomically similar to it's infamous cousin, it has no psychoactive properties. It grows like a 'weed', requires minimal water and no herbicides or pesticides to thrive, produces incredible yield, improves soil health and the entire plant can be used. It is durable, feels similar to linen and blends beautifully with other natural fibres. It is the unsung hero of sustainable fibres.
Organic Cotton is a more sustainable and ethical alternative to conventional cotton. It is grown without pesticides from non-genetically modified seeds, it requires less water and avoids harmful chemicals increasing soil fertility. This not only benefits the land but worker's health improves in turn benefiting the larger community. And organisations like GOTS have taken a holistic approach to improve all stages of producing organic textiles.
