I am a fun loving chunky yarn here to save the day with super speedy knits. My wool is proudly 100% New Zealand born and bred and I am intentionally NOT superwash treated. This allows my natural wool properties to shine and I will happily biodegrade in your compost or worm farm.
I am the perfect beginner friendly yarn and would make quick work of a chunky vest, cardi or jumper, a warm blanket or a speedy scarf. I'm just super thanks!

Why I'm Better
Non-Superwash Wool is a natural, biodegradable and durable fibre with a much lower environmental impact than its superwash counterpart. Most superwash yarns have been chemically treated and coated in a layer of polymer plastic resin to make them machine washable. The process creates toxic chemical waste, is water and energy intensive and the yarn will shed microplastics during washing. Non-treated yarn embraces the natural properties of wool; it is more insulating, moisture wicking, has better elasticity and anti-bacterial properties.
