Why Tencel™?
Celofil® is a sewing thread made using Tencel™ fibres, a trademarked fibre created by Lenzing AG. It is a type of MMCF (Man-Made Cellulosic Fibre) made by dissolving wood pulp and spinning it into fibre.
The Tencel™ fibres used in Celofil® are made from FSC-certified wood sources and produced using a closed-loop manufacturing process, where solvents are recovered and reused to reduce waste and minimise chemical emissions.
It offers an alternative to conventional synthetic threads, as well as other cellulosic fibres such as viscose and rayon.
